In an earlier post, I showed you some pictures from our local parade. I only saw part of that parade because we had set a time to meet my son and his girlfriend for dinner and had to leave the parade early. Later I found out that I had missed a flash mob as part of the parade. Wouldn't you know it! I would have loved to have seen it. It would have been even more fun to participate in it. It wasn't near the size as some of the flash mobs you've seen videos of, such as the one in Grand Central Station, but for our little town, it was a fun event just the same.
The employees and family and friends of our local hospital were the ones who organized the flash mob. They kept it a secret so that those watching the parade would be surprised. Even though I didn't get to see the flash mob in person, it was still neat to see the video of it. Maybe you will enjoy seeing it too.

Daisy, thanks so much for sharing this! It was amazing! I'm very impressed! That takes a lot of practice!! I'm sorry, too, that you didn't see it/participate in it!! :)
I don't know if I live in a cocoon, but I've never seen anything like this before!
I loved it!!
I was a pom-pom girl in high school so it brought back a few memories of our performances.
Only the unexpected surprise of it all added so much to the performance. Thanks for sharing!
Oh yes, Daisy, this was fun to watch! Sorry you missed it in person but the video was great.
FUN!!! I have been after the faculty at my college to organize one of these. Don't you think that comes under the heading of Professional Development?
This is a great video, Hope you have a great 4th..Susie
That was so cute!!! I love this sort of stuff!!!
Thank you all for your comments. I'm glad you liked the video. I thought it was neat that they were able to keep it a secret and surprise everyone with the dance. :-)
Love these kinds of evens, Daisy. Sorry you missed it, but how lovely to enjoy this video.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend, my friend ~

Thank you, Paige. Yes, I thought I heard someone say my name. ;) I hope you have a great holiday weekend!
Wonderful! Very talented group, and what a big job to organize and choreograph that.
These flashmobs seem to be springing up everywhere Daisy, here's an idea why don't you get together with your co-workers at the library and organise one....hmm maybe not, it's probably not the most ideal location for one.
Have a happy 4th of July.
Diana, yes, I thought they must have had this planned for quite a while because they would have needed a lot of time to practice. :)
Ryan, I would LOVE that, but I'm not so sure the Director would go for it. :D Thank you. Happy 4th of July to you too! ha! I don't imagine you celebrate that day much in Scotland, though. ;)
So sorry you missed it 'live' and missed participating. Nice video and a great dancing team. tQ
That's so cool...especially the overhead view where you can see the circle...and all the people smiling!
Thanks for coming over to LMNOP to see a little of my trip.
Happy 4th!
Hi Bananaz, I suppose I wouldn't have been able to participate anyway since it was mostly hospital employees doing it, and they managed to keep it secret. I do think it would have been great fun to be in on it though. :D
M, I liked the overhead camera view too. Obviously they had this well planned out! Happy 4th to you too! :D
Helloooo DaisyGirl! Patrick and I just watched your flash mob. Patrick said he's sorry you missed your 15minutes of fame.;<) Happy weekend and 4th of July to you and yours.
Thank you, Cassie! Happy 4th to you and Patrick too! :D
Daisy,
You know I never knew what a Flash Mob was but thank you for sharing...how cool is that! I see that commercial on TV but didn't know what they were talking about...
I looked at the post on your Scottish games...how fun! My husband and I were trying to think where Wellington was. Guess I'll have to go and look it up...
That was absolutely great....almost got off my chair and joined the "Flash"!
This looks like such a wonderful community where people actually interact with one another. Thanks for sharing!
I'm glad you liked it, Carol. I do feel lucky to live in this community. People care about and take care of each other here. Happy 4th to you! :)
Oh wow - a Flash mob!! I would love to have seen it too. Hope you are having a wonderful day!!
Thank you, Denise! This was a quiet day at home for me, but it was a good one. It went by all too quickly! :)
Daisy, I will confess that I had never heard or seen a flash mob f=video until yours - need to surf the net more, I guess. Anyway, this was great and looks like everyone was having such fun that it almost made us want to get up and dance along. Hope you had a Happy 4th celebration.
Hi Beatrice! Yes, flash mobs have been around for a while, but usually they are held in a large city or some place where a great crowd is gathered. I guess that's why it surprised me that one happened in our small town. They did seem to have fun with it.
Thank you, I did have a nice 4th! :)
FUN! Next year you need to be out there dancing, D!
Cary, I would love that! =) Every time I see a video of a flash mob where there's dancing going on, I wish I could be a part of it.
The library director wanted us to have a book cart drill team in the parade this year, but we didn't have enough time to organize and get ready for it, and it was too hard to coordinate every one's schedule to allow time to practice. Maybe we will do that next year. Not quite the same as a flash mob, but it would be fun too.
what an organizational undertaking!
I need a flash mob that weeds!
Lanny, what a grand idea! hahaha! I'm not sure you'll get very many volunteers for that venture, though. :D Thank you for making me laugh. You always brighten my day.
