Please, No Paparazzi!

We finally had some warmer temperatures here this weekend.  I was thrilled to get in a couple of walks in the park.  I noticed the daffodils in this flower bed had buds on them getting ready to open.  Just as I was about to take a picture of them, I realized that there was more to my picture than just some soon-to-open buds.  Do you see her there?

IN THE FLOWER BED

She crouched behind
a daffodil.
I nearly missed her,
she stood so still.
Not a whisker moved,
till the camera click.
Then she bounded off,
spry and quick.
She bounced away,
 camera-shy,
waving at me
a white-tailed goodbye.

Hi Daisy, Cute little bunny.... She was there JUST for you I'm sure.... TOO cute.

Glad you got out to take some walks. We had a very warm (almost hot) weekend with temps in the 80's....

Hugs,
Betsy

I know you are happy to be walking outside again. What a pretty Spring pic with the daffodils and bunny and I love your poem. Hope you will have many more opportunities to walk in the park this week.

Camera shy!
I love it when at last the spring flowers make an appearance. Ours are well open now. I'm amazed at how much blossom there is everywhere.

sounds familiar? In *All Kinds of Everything* never mentioned about the bunny haha. First time to see daffodils plant. Took for granted listened and sang the song but did not take the trouble to google about daffodils. Maybe have seen them before but didnt know its daffodils haha. tQ

Unexpected surprises are the best kind, Daisy. We have a bunny that likes to hide out in our wildflower gardens and thankfully does not bother the veggie garden.

Betsy, it got up to 84 degrees here yesterday! Today we are back in the 50's, though. :-)

Hi Mildred! I think we are finally welcoming spring here. I'm so glad to see it arrive. :D

Lynne, the very first of the flowers are just starting to open here. I've only seen a few crocus and daffodils so far. :)

Bananaz, I've never heard that song. I had to go look it up! :D You should see the daffodils now. They are fully open and look much prettier than just the buds.

Jen, I think the bunny was hiding Easter eggs. That's why she didn't want me to take her picture. ;)

Thank you, Betty! You too! She was just a little bunny statue there and blended right in. :D

Beatrice, you're lucky the rabbits don't bother your veggies. I love seeing the bunnies, but my neighbor isn't so fond of them. They eat things out of her garden every year, no matter how hard she tries to keep them out. :)

I believe I recognize that little guy from last year!

Diana, that bunny does look familiar! HA HA! They all kind of look alike to me after a while. ;D

Sweet! I love those little bunnies!

Daisy said...

Me too, Susie. I like to watch them jumping up in the air and over top one another and running about the yard when they're little. :-)

I never realized how well a bunny blends in with the leaves and soil! What a cutie!

Karen, it was camouflaged really well!! :D

Well, isn't that just the cutest ever!! Did she leave you a 'gift'? After all, Easter does have bunny-elves.

I so love the wild animals visits here, also.
Have a lovely eve ~

Hello, Marydon. :-) She may have left something behind there in the flower beds. I didn't go and check! HAHA! I hope your week is going well.

An unexpected intruder into your picture, but not a bad one. I had a similar experience today, I was taking a picture of church in a graveyard when I noticed something poke it's head out of a whole in the ground it was a baby fox, just when I was going to snap the picture it disappeared again.

Spirng is in full bloom in London, flowers and cherry blossom everywhere. It has been a long winter, but it seems to be over...hopefully.

Hello William. Thank you for visiting and commenting here! :D

A baby fox would be neat to see. I've never seen a fox outside of a zoo. London sounds lovely. The blossoms here are just barely beginning, but they are at least no longer buried in snow!

Blue Bunny, I should have known she was a friend of yours! I'll have to give the orange soda pop a try. I bet Jannie's house is looking spotless! :D

Moments like that are sublime! Wow, aren't different climates fascinating, your daffs are just coming on, ours have been blooming for a good bit but soon you will be so much farther along in the growing season than here! Just sorta mind boggling. Well, it is if you take out all the scientific explaination that is supposed to help us all understand everything perfectly.

Lanny, I love little surprise moments like that--gifts from nature. :-)

Yes, our daffodils have just opened and forsythia are starting to open too. We are just at the very beginning of blooms coming on.
