Colors of Easter Weekend

I thought I'd share some bits of color from my weekend.  The yellow forsythia bushes are popping out all over.  These bushes with their bright cheery yellow are one of my favorite signs of spring.

I found lots of these little purplish-blue flowers hiding in the grass too.

These white flowers are growing near the park. It was very windy here yesterday, so it was difficult to get a good picture.  The petals were blowing in all directions.

On the ground under the tall trees in the park there is a carpet of little white flowers and some taller yellow flowers.

This is what the white flowers look like.

The yellow flowers look like this.

We've had some colorful skies this weekend too.

Oh yeah, the bruise on my arm, although faded, is still pretty colorful from my failed attempt at donating blood too!! HA HA HA!  No need to worry, though.  It is feeling fine.  It just looks like it would hurt, but it doesn't.

Oh look, there's the Easter Bunny!

I hope you all have had a colorful weekend and a Happy Easter!

Such beauty surrounds you Daisy! I especially love the forsythia - it almost glows in the dark! Your sky pictures are very pretty. Hope you enjoyed your Easter weekend and I'm glad your arm is better. It sure looks like it would be sore.

Daisy,
It is very lovely...do you remember the saying that there will be 3 snows after the forsythia blooms? I hope that is just an urban legend...
It really is pretty and about that failed blood donation attempt? Goodness gracious! ..ist that a badge of courage?
Have a great evening!

Mildred, I love the forsythia too. I look forward to seeing them bloom every year! :D

Tracy, I have heard that saying, but I am really hoping it won't be true this year. I've had enough snow this year!

Nice to see some colorful flowers! I always call those bluish purplish ones - grape flowers. Don't know why or where that came from and I'm sure I'm wrong, ha,ha! Your sky photos were gorgeous too. Hope your Easter was wonderful Daisy.

Shelley, I don't know what they are called, but grape flowers seems like an appropriate name to me. :D Easter was beautiful here. I hope it was the same for you.

all i can say is besides enjoying the photos..ouch!

It was an ouch for a couple of days, Sandy, but it is fine now. It takes more than a bruise to slow me down. I'm glad you liked the photos. :-)

Ahhh! The colors of spring were worth waiting for. I love the flowering trees with a carpet of petals beneath.

Diana, the way it changes from everything being gray one day to colors everywhere the next (or so it seems) amazes me every year. :-)
