Well, now that tree looks like this,
and after all the high winds we have had this week, my back yard just to the right of this tree looks like this.
My front yard, not to be outdone, looks like this.
Can you see all of those leaves on the ground? It looks like I'm going to be spending the weekend with a rake in my hand.
While I am out there raking, I've left a couple of things here in this post for you to do.
First, if you'd like to, you can listen to my son's string quintet play the song, "Michelle." He's the one standing up in the back on the right playing the double bass.
Second, you can look at a pretty drop leaf table or two, or check out what is for sale at any of the stores under the CSN name to see if there is anything there that you might like to buy with a $55.00 gift certificate.
Why am I suggesting you do this? I am suggesting it because the CSN Stores would once again like me to give a $55.00 gift certificate to one of YOU! The gift certificate does not cover any shipping costs but you can use it on ANY product from ANY one of their sites, and many of their items have free shipping.
Also, with apologies to my readers elsewhere, this certificate can only be used by those from the United States or Canada. Those from Canada, be forewarned, you may have to pay international shipping costs if you are the winner. Those are the details.
In order to enter the giveaway, just leave a comment on this post before 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday, November 3. I will choose a winner using the site www.random.org. Good luck to everyone. I hope you have a nice weekend! I'll be out raking leaves.

Hi Daisy, UGH....looks like you will be raking for a while. I sure enjoyed hearing your son's quintet - that song was a favorite of my brother when he was a teen. Hope you will have nice Halloween weekend. Give Max a scratch from me.
Mildred, I always liked that song too. I hope you have a nice Halloween. I bet Harriet is looking forward to wearing her Halloween costume. HA! Max says to tell you, "Thank you." ;)
Daisy, if it wasn't such a long drive, I'd be over in a minute to help you rake leaves - then you could come help me! Maybe we'd rake a big pile and then leap in.
HA! Diana if you start raking from your house, and I start raking from mine, and we meet in the middle between the two, just think what a big pile of leaves we'd have to jump in. Of course, we'd have awfully tired arms!! :D
Hi Daisy, Need some help??? I'm a professional leaf blower/raker/picker-upper.... We've been working on our yard for 2 days... We have about 50 shade trees --so our leaves were almost knee high...... TONS of them..... AND--there's still more on the trees....
Great song by your son's group.... I know you are so proud of him...
Have fun raking....
Hugs,
Betsy
Thanks, Betsy! Sounds like you have plenty of your own leaves to rake. HA! I'd still rather rake leaves or mow the grass than shovel snow any day!! Happy weekend to you. :-)
Looks like you need one of those leaf hoover upers.
What soothing music. They are very talented.
Have a good weekend, and don't spend it all raking.
Hi Lynne! We do have a leaf blower but not a sweeper. The blower is too heavy and noisy for me to use, but my husband or sons sometimes use it. I've found it is easier for me to just use a rake. Thank you. I'm glad you liked the music. I hope you have a good weekend too! :)
Our leaves are just about gone-:) thanks for the giveaway
have a wonderful weekend

Hello Julie! Welcome. Thank you for visiting and commenting here. :-)
Daisy,
I can imagine how busy you're throwing the mountain of falling leaves...
but it looked beautiful when the trees changed to be such a dead tree after the high wind blown... haha...
love to see the performance of your son... They doing great... and I love the song..
Thanks so much, Daisy for this post!
hope everythinng good on you and family.
hugs,
nensa
Thank you. I hope all is well with you and your family, too, Nensa. We have lots more leaves down in the front yard now, so it looks like I'll be raking more again this weekend. :)
