In my poetry picture poll a few posts back, some of you requested I write a poem using all of the pictures from the poll in a poem. I decided to give it a try and this is what I came up with.
A Poodle in the Park
So much to do
for a poodle in the park.
Chasing runaway bunnies,
it's hard not to bark.
So much to sniff:
flowers around a rock,
hickory nuts that look like toys,
by the fence-- a shoe, a sock.
And oh so much to see...
pink porcupines up high,
down low some prickly green,
and buzzards floating by.
On the way back home now,
can you hear the cicada buzz?
The poodle is getting tired.
He's not as bouncy as he was.
The lily by the fence
and sunflowers in a row,
the poodle perks up a bit.
He's back home now, don't you know.
And though the park is fun
being back home is really good too,
especially for a poodle dog
whose nap is overdue.

Ha! That's a good one, Daisy!! All the pictures are so pretty!
Perfect, Daisy.... I cannot believe how talented you are. I'm so impressed... That was neat that you made the poem (story) into a walk by the poodle... That is wonderful.... Thanks so much!!!!!
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
Very creative and a lot of fun! That had to be difficult to match the words with the pictures. That sweet Max is a cutie!
I love this so much haha... you're awesome Daisy!
Becky, Betsy, Mildred, and Melissa, good morning to you all. :-) Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. It was kind of fun to fit them all together.

Aw shucks, Diana. Thank you. You are very kind. :-)
Awwwww. I love your little poodle. How old is Max anywho? Also, I totally forgot that hickory nuts had that thick, green covering. Is there another name for hickory nuts??
Hi Cassie! Max is 10 years old, which is getting up there for a poodle. Although, he still often acts like a puppy. If there's another name for hickory nuts, I'm not aware of it, but maybe they do have another name. I hope you are having a great weekend! :)
