Hospital Progress and Dancing, Of Course!

A large addition is being built onto our local hospital. I walked downtown the other day and then walked all the way around the hospital taking pictures of the progress there.

some of the original building

a section being added to the back

more of the original building

ER entrance---I can't even tell you how many times I have been through those doors. At one time or another, I have been here with my husband, my sons, both of my parents, a nephew, and for myself. I am grateful we live just a short distance away from the hospital.

The yellow walls have been covered up with an olive green layer at this end.

At the other end there is now a black layer.

It looks really nasty under here. They obviously still have a lot of work to do.

This end still has some of the yellow showing.

The construction site is all fenced off with lots of supplies inside.

It looks pretty messy back here yet too.

This is at the very back again. Still more yellow showing here.

Well it's Friday night, so I think we ought to be dancing. Having this new addition on our hospital seems like a good reason to dance. Some hospital dancing is in order! You do know that we can dance if we want to, don't you?

Hi Daisy, That's going to be a great addition to your hospital. I believe you really like to walk for good health. I admire you and appreciate you taking us along at your local park and the hospital too. The video is really cute. Have a nice weekend.

That clip is awesome. He dances about like I do - I am NOT kidding. Thank heaven my friends don't care. My kids, on the other hand, don't like it much if I do it in public!

The hospital would be way more entertaining if some of the doctros actually acted like that - or some of the nurses! :)

Good morning, Mildred! I do feel better when I get a daily walk in. Hope you have a great weekend. :)

Hi Terri! I thought of you when I first ran across this clip. Maybe you should start dancing at the hospital first and then the rest will join in with you! HA! :D

As for dancing in front of your kids in public---go for it! Part of the fun of having kids is being able to embarrass them in front of their friends. That's just payback! ;)

When I first started watching scrubs I didn't care for it. At the time I worked at a Dr.'s office and it reminded me too much of that. But after trying it a few more times I grew to love that show. So funny!

The hospital is coming along well. They are a good thing indeed. My mom with six children, the last two being dare devils, spent many a day in the ER too. Unfortunately for my children I was a nurse, so unless it was spurting blood uncontrollably or an appendage was dangling oddly in the wrong direction they were not driven the thiry or so miles to our "local" hospital!

Have a great weekend!

Hi Daisy,
Looks like it's all coming together! I'm not eager to go to a hospital, but they sure are nice when you really need one!!

Hi Susie! I'm glad you liked that clip. I've only seen that show a couple of times, but I thought this video was fun to watch. Happy weekend to you! :)

Lanny, I am glad ours is nearby because I don't think I'd handle emergency situations too well on my own. Your daughters are lucky to have a nurse living with them I think. :D Happy weekend to you and yours!

Dorothy, yes, it is coming along. They still have some work to do, but I'm going to be glad to see it when it is all done. Have a happy weekend! :D

yep-thank goodness for the ER when you need it. We've had our fare share of visits there too.

Hi Jen! I really don't like going there, but I have been grateful it was there the times we've needed to be there. Hope you are having a good weekend! :)

A local hospital is a blessing, indeed. I know just what you mean about spending far too much time there. 2007 was such a year for us. I love the video - it makes me want to dance, something I never do!

Some things you'd rather not remember when it comes to visiting the ER, right, Diana?

Your comment that the video made you want to dance made me smile. :D

I'm WAY behind Daisy... It's been a busy couple of days!!!!!

Your hospital is impressive. I know that the people in your area will be so pleased to have all of those added additions. Hopefully, it will 'draw' alot of good doctors.

Hugs,
Betsy

Betsy, I'm way behind too! I'm always glad to see you. :D

Yes, I hope that it does draw some talented doctors our way. Most specialists are an hour or more drive away from here the way it is now.

Hope you have a nice Sunday! :)

I'm all for that, Becca! Dancing is not only allowed, but encouraged on my blog. :D
