Mellow Yellow Monday---Dandelions

The dandelions have popped up all over the grass. Perhaps not a mellow image for some, but they certainly are yellow. Weed or not, I have always liked dandelions. It is probably their sunny yellow color that makes me like them.

Today, however, they are reminding me I have mowing to do. I mowed our yard here yesterday, but I still need to get the grass mowed over at my mom's house.

My husband and son are sacked out on our big L-shaped double couch like bookends, both home sick suffering from "Man Colds."

So, I'm thinking this is probably a good time for me to get outside and get that mowing done. ;)

Dandelions definitely are yellow--but we do everything we can to keep them OUT of our yard....

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

I think a whole patch of dandelions is very pretty. Our neighbors front lawn is like that. I always enjoyed them as a kid. Thanks for sharing these marvels of nature. Have a happy Monday.

Hi Betsy! I know many feel as you do and don't care for dandelions. I don't mind them though. Hope you have a mellow Monday! :)

Hello Nature Ramblings! I hope you have a happy Mellow Yellow Monday! :D

Dandelion blossoms are pretty little things on pesky plants.
Hugs and blessings,

They usually are a good reminder of time to mow.
Good idea to get out of the house so you don't catch anything too.

The dandelions remind me of when I was a child. I loved to blow the seeds and watch them float.

I love dandelions! I should start a save the dandelion blog, lol

Happily Retired Gal, that is a very good way to describe them! :D

Jen, it seemed like a good time to get out too because they were both sleeping. So far no sniffles for me, thankfully.

Susie, I loved to do that too. We were the ones spreading all those weed seeds, I guess. HA! :D

Drowsey, sign me up! HA! :D

Happy Monday all!

2 dandelions are cute! 200 dandelions makes me want to scream and run for cover! LOL!!

How true, Shelley. They do tend to take over if they are given the chance. :) Happy Monday to you!

I posted a pink Sunday. :-)

Your yard looks like our yard. Hubby mowed it yesterday, but there's still dandelions lurking. I love them. :-)

Sad to say my tulips went into the bunny. They were a bit runty and seeing bunboy wandering around with a tulip hanging out his mouth, like he was smoking a pipe, was way more entertaining. ;-D

Awww...that is quite an image you just painted, Michelle. I wish I could have seen bunboy with his tulip pipe. HA! Enjoy your day, my friend. :)

I am now a devout follower. Dandelions are a pretty yellow, even if they are the grungy stray cats of the flower world. That's not what hooked me though. Shaun of the Dead happens to be one of my favorite movies. Therefore love the video. Therefore love you.

Thank you, Jessica. I'm glad to see you here! :D Hope you have a great day!

Hi Kathleen! It made me laugh too. :) Hope you are having a good week.

OMG I haven't laughed so hard. My hubby thinks the world should come to a complete halt when he has the sniffles. The big babies. LOL

Kathy, it sure seems that way to me, sometimes--at least the men that I have known. HA! :D
