Listen To The Falling Rain--Truly Grateful Series

I woke up to the sound of rain hitting the window this morning. It was relaxing and peaceful.

It has stopped for now, but it has done two wonderful things. It has washed the air giving it a fresh, spring smell, and it has turned the grass a rich shade of green. WOO HOO!! It's not brown anymore! It's turning a more beautiful color of green with each passing day.

In celebration of the rain, the first thing I am going to do is post some of my favorite songs about rain.

"Listen To the Falling Rain"---Jose Feliciano

"Rhythm of the Falling Rain"---The Cascades

"It's Raining Again"---Supertramp

Of course, I would be remiss to not include this final song. This song brings me to the second thing I'm going to do in celebration of the rain today---DANCE!

"I'm Singin' in the Rain" with Gene Kelly.

I hope whatever the weather you are having that you find a reason to dance today.

Lord, for rain and the music that celebrates it, let me be truly grateful.

Are you doing a rain dance Daisy?
We had no rain for all of April until Mike commented on the fact, then it rained that night and today!
Have a happy day whatever the weather.

Hi Daisy, I love listening to the rain also. We've been waiting for rain all day today.. The pollen is pretty bad now---and we need rain to clean the air--along with everything else that is now coated YELLOW... ha

Hugs,
Betsy

Great songs Daisy. I haven't listen to a Supertramp song in years. It rained here today but it was very heavy rain (under a flood watch currently). Rain makes me want to just sleep away the day.

Lynne sounds like you should have Mike comment about the weather whenever you need it to change! ;) Happy day to you too!

Oh, Betsy, I hope you get some rain soon. It really does seem to wash the air and make it more breathable. Hope you are having a good week. :)

Lee-Ann, it is good to see you! I hope all is well with you. Rain is quite a blessing isn't it. Happy day to you. :)

Kathy, I'm glad you liked the Supertramp song. I remember it from college days. Sorry to hear you are under flood watch. Hope things don't get too serious there. The sound of rain lulls me to sleep too. Happy Wednesday to you. :)
