Time For Spring, I Say!

Every year when the flowers return, I am reminded of a very old cartoon (from 1936) that my sons had on a video tape when they were small. I love that cartoon and want to watch it again, but I don't know what has become of the tape. I was delighted today to find the cartoon on YouTube. Since I am celebrating the return of the daisies and the beginnings of the morning glories, this seems like an appropriate video to include here.

Hi Daisy,
In work today, one of my colleagues say 'Jeepers Creepers' in an odd voice which somehow triggered the memory of this cartoon.

I went to google to see if I could find it and your blog came up. I'm 24 and from Northern Ireland. I watched this when I was young. Had no idea it was from 1936!

Excellent post - you rock.

Hi Roy! Welcome to my blog! :) I'm glad you found your way here. This cartoon is one that has stuck with me for years for some reason. I had no idea how old it was either until I found it on YouTube. Isn't it funny how some little phrase can bring back whole memories of songs or TV shows or cartoons? Strange the way our brains work sometimes. Thanks for visiting and for your comment. Come back anytime. :D

Good Morning, Daisy!!

I have been looking for this video for years. When I was younger my dad showed me this video and I just called him to see if he still has the tape, but he doesn't. I googled it and found your blog! Thanks for the video, I also watched the Burl Ives video and it is awesome.

You seem very cool!!

Hello Elissa! Glad to see you on my blog! I came across this video by accident on Youtube when I was looking for something else. It wasn't listed under the title "Time For Spring, I Say" or even under "Jeepers Creepers" which is probably why it is hard to find there. I think it was just titled "Spring" on Youtube. Anyway, I'm glad my posting it here helped you to find it. It is a fun one that sticks in your head. Have a great day and come back to visit me here anytime! :D
